The most French of Holsteiner breeds has never left anyone indifferent, from the general public dazzled by its phenomenal strength to the most seasoned breeders convinced of its great genetic value. He’s finally back at stud, and available for the mares of his many aficionados.

Four years ago, Béligneux Le Haras spotted the exceptional horse in him when he was just beginning his career under the saddle of Laurent Guillet, our neighbor, a skilled rider and shrewd dealer. In the years that followed, despite the enthusiasm of breeders, the young champion devoted himself solely to the sport, and with great panache.

CORDIAL marked the year 2023 with exceptional performances, crowned by a memorable double clear round at the Nations Cup in Aachen and a remarkable placing in the Lyon World Cup with Mégane Moissonnier.

We are honored to announce that Denis Lynch, the talented Irish rider and now owner of Cordial, has asked BLH to distribute Cordial’s semen in France. We thank him warmly for his collaboration. It will enable us to continue a work begun when the stallion was very young.

That’s why he became the darling of the French clan, and the object of frustration for hundreds of breeders. But that’s over now. A great international performer under the saddle of Mégane Moissonnier, he has numerous CSI5* 1.60m rankings to his credit. He is, among others, double clear round and 5th in the Aachen Nations Cup, 2nd in the Dublin Nations Cup, 2nd in the La Baule Nations Cup, 3rd and 4th in the GP 1.60m in St Tropez, 6th in the Lyon World Cup GP, 7th in the St Gall GP, 7th in the Deauville GP, 9th in the Dinard GP…

His dam, Unschuld, also produced the stallion Cashpaid, who was 6th in the Belgian Championships and placed in the GP 1.55m at the CSI4* in Deauville at just 9 years of age.

Crossing advice

Cordial is a powerful Casall with unlimited resources. Also with a great gallop. On the breeding side, inbreeding on the excellent Caretino will be fantastic on the French strains.
