Baloubet du Rouet is the son of the illustrious Galoubet A SF and Mésange du Rouet SF by Starter (PS), born and bred not far from Mont Saint Michel at Louis Fardin.
He enjoyed a successful career under the saddle of Brazilian sorcerer Nelson Pessoa, before joining that of his son Rodrigo. Together, they were one of the most legendary couples in the history of equestrian sports. This stallion is the only one to have won the World Cup final three times in a row: in 1998 in Helsinki, in 1999 in Gothenburg, and then in Las Vegas in 2000. They also finished second in the same championship in 2001, third in 2002 and second in 2003. The power duo were even crowned Olympic champions in Athens in 2004.

Crossing advice
The Baloubet are unstoppable, respectful and always in balance. Of course, it’s more suited to those who want to breed Formula 1s than to those who want to supply pretty, practical 1.45m horses.
It will suit mares with little brilliance and energy, as well as those often caught lacking balance. Nonetheless, give preference to those that produce precocious, easy-to-use horses. Pay particular attention to the rise of the knees.
